L.E.A.D. Ambassadors are an integral part of our programs. Ambassadors have an awesome privilege to serve while gaining valuable benefits from our programs. Ambassadors assist with planning and setting up meetings/workshops, serve as host/hostesses during workshops, attend special events, peer mentor, peer tutor, are well-spoken and are dependable!


As a HS Senior that has been in the program 2 years and serving as an Ambassador, you may have an opportunity to attend our spring break college tour FREE.


Other benefits of serving as a High School or Junior (Middle School) Ambassador are as follows:


  1. You will gain valuable hands-on leadership experience.

  2. You will accumulate community service hours required for graduation recognition.

  3. You will gain public speaking experience.

  4. You will receive life-skills training from program workshops & seminars.

  5. You will participate in fun, Ambassador-only appreciation events.


If you are interested in becoming a LEAD Ambassador, the requirements are as follows:


  1. Commit to attend 85% of the sessions.

  2. Excused absences will be granted if the board is contacted 1 week (5 – 7 days) in advance for non-emergency absences.

  3. One (1) unexcused absence will result in Ambassadors placed on probation.

  4. Two (2) unexcused absences will result in Ambassadors being removed from the Ambassador program.

  5. Adhere to assignments for every Saturday that we meet. (NOTE: Assignments will be provided by the 1st meeting of each program (e.g. Fall or Spring)).

  6. Be familiar with ALL programs offered by the Foundation, event dates, contacts, etc.

  7. Arrive 20 minutes early to each session.

  8. After work assignment has been completed, participate in each module unless otherwise instructed.

  9. Do not loiter the halls or sit away from the other students in the program during workshops.

  10. Attend a monthly conference call.

  11. Record time on the LEAD community service tracking website.
